Your mother was a loving and caring friend who always had a cheerful smile and kind word. My brothers and sisters-in-law will miss talking with her when we come to Scribner.

I lived across the street from Ruth. The morning after I had moved in, she came across the street and introduced herself...also stating that her husband had passed the night before. I felt so sad for her. My son, Kirk and I became fast friends with her. He enjoyed helping her with her garden and lawn, and just visiting with her. We moved to Sioux City in late May of 2013, and have missed her dearly. My thoughts and prayers to her entire family and all of her friends. She was a wonderful friend, and neighbor!

To the family of Ruth - I grew up with her being my families favorite waitress, but we called her Ruthie and she loved it. Through all the years of knowing her she always knew me even as we both got older. Her warm welcome, gentle smile and laugh were always ready to share with everyone. She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.... but never forgotten.

The family of Ruth, We are sorry for your loss. Ruth was such a loving, caring lady. I enjoyed having her bring flowers to the fair for many years and missed her doing so when she had to quit.
